"For my part I know nothing of any certainty, but the sight of the stars make me dream."
- Vincent Van Gogh
Rachael Corey
Rachael has always found refuge in creativity and visual art; these are the means by which she is able to contemplate the world and its inhabitants around her.
Rachael is going into her senior year at Hope College, where she will accumulate a major in studio art and a minor in psychology. With this degree she plans to attend graduate school in pursuit of her strong passion for art therapy, achieving a career concentrating on eating disorders and special education. Rachael was intrigued by the persona of Harry Brorby, and especially how this incredibly influential artist's legacy has been misplaced or buried due to forgetful cultural memory. She has found a strong connection to Brorby’s artistic search for experiences beyond the practicalities of everyday life, a pursuit that she wishes to engage in her own artwork. If you are looking, you’ll most likely find her in the late hours of the night, with paint-stained hands and a brush to accompany them. Want to know more about Rachael and her Interests?
